The Flipped Classroom

The Flipped Classroom

I did it & I didn’t even know that it had a name. I just knew that I didn’t believe too much whole class “direct instruction” was necessary. A 5-10 minute mini lesson was a plenty. Then I wanted my students to explore, learn, and make stuff!

This is a great graphic illustration of the concept! My favorite book on the topic is Flip Your Classroom: Reach Every Student in Every Class Every Day by Sams & Bergman, published through ASCD.
